Website changes
I finally managed to find the time to fix a couple of issues with the website. It should no longer crash when you post a comment. I do however moderate all my comments so please be patient if you don’t see your comment appear straight away. I do this mainly to prevent comment spam from appearing on the site.
While I was playing with the blog engine, I thought I may as well change the theme. My new theme is Hemingway. I particularly like its simplicity. What do you think?
And oh yeah, I’m back in Melbourne now. About not blogging while I was in India – it’s amazing how easy it is for priorities to change when your environment changes :) The trip was fantastic even though I didn’t do much traveling. Perhaps I’ll blog about it sometime in the future, but given my track record I’m not going to make any promises.
Still crashed for me..

Bit dark don’t you think? Although, it is the kind of dark that occurs just before a movie starts. Suspenseful and exciting rather than wicked or scary.
Why do you think they called it Hemingway? http://www.ehfop.org/ has a much better colour scheme :)
It has at least one thing going for it, the search box gets highlighted when you hover your mouse over it.

Neale -> Darn, thought upgrading WordPress would save me the trouble of working out exactly why the blog crashes. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Papa -> I’ll try to change the colours and font size to better suit my mature audience :oP
Ambro -> I like the layout of the new Theme, though I might change the colours. I particularly like the format of the footer. I think I’ll play with it a little before I decide whether to keep it or not.

White text on dark background looks cool, but a bit hard to read. Hey, where are the links to your friends blogs? :D

Thanks for the feedback Bren. The theme definitely needs some work, though I like the general look. I might try inverting the colours and playing with the layout a bit. I need to add the following somewhere:
* Flickr photos
* Links to other pages on Hiremaga.com (navbar)
* Links to friends website
Do you have any layout suggestions for these?
