  1. give the kid a silly lolly and ask him to shut up!! lol seriously i dont mean otherwise when say that.. in lot of of cases a programmer with some PM vision (keep customer happy) is more likely to get the right good out.

    I think the point that David’s trying to make relates more to the information available to each individual not their ability. In the example, the waiter(BA/PM) should have communicated the customer’s needs better and it might’ve been cheaper to satisfy the customer. Instead they choose a course of action that was based on assumptions by the chef (Developer) resulting in a more expensive outcome that didn’t even satisfy the customer. Everyone loses.
